Christian University: Coulter un-Christian

Harding University, a Churches of Christ affiliate and one of the Young America's Foundation's top ten conservative colleges, has cancelled a speaking engagement by Ann Coulter. Why? Because of her "anti- or non-Christian views."

I've never known what to make of Coulter's religious views. What to make, for example, of this except from her column on the Ashley Smith story?:
Smith knew all about Nichols' violent depredations from television. Yet she saw him not as a monster, but as one of God's creatures. Most Christians – most people – have trouble seeing the humanity of people who take our parking spots. Smith could see God's hand in a multiple murderer holding her hostage. By showing him genuine Christian love, Smith turned Nichols from a beast to a brother in Christ. This phenomenon, utterly unknown to liberals, is what's known as a "miracle." Top that, Paul Krugman!
In three sentences, she goes from seeing the humanity in everyone to another one of the evils of liberals. Can anyone help me with this?
