Bill Richardson for president?
I just saw this guy on the Daily Show a couple of days ago. He was introduced as someone who was considering running for president, but Jon Stewart got him to say he definitely was running. Two things stuck out from the interview: one, his story of coming face to face with and seriously insulting Saddam Hussein, which was just plain interesting, and two, his matter-of-fact declaration that he was the best qualified presidential candidate. It sounds a little hubristic now as I type this, but: 1) he appears to be clearly better in this department than Obama and Hillary 2) it's good to have someone who realizes that it's important to know what your doing and 3) it's an argument that catches my attention after over 6 years of Bush. Though it may be a good thing we have more time to decide before the primary, if it were tomorrow, I'd vote for him.

Richardson is the Democratic candidate that I think has the best credentials for the job. However, I see him as ending up as Secretary of State in a Hillary Clinton administration.
I'm tired of qualified people getting anything but the top job...
I remember Richardson, but I can't remember if it was from the Carter or Clinton days. My memory is going. But I do remember it was when I was a staunch Republican bible believer. Richardson was a no nonsence solid performer. If someone was being held hostage by radicals, they sent Bill to bring them home. I believe he always brought them home.
Definitely the most qualified. Not too much of the Rock Star like Obama, and he doesn't already have half the country swearing they won't vote for him, like Hillary. Richardson has foreign policy experience, Mexican Border/illegal immigration experience, and a healthy respect for renewable energy, as well as a health plan. The complete package. I found this blog site while searching for a place to donate money to his campaign. I can't believe the media thinks that whoever can raise the most money is the best choice for the job. I can't believe the American People will fall for that nonsense.

Im from Ohio and knew very little of Gov. Richardson. I saw him speak one time and that was it for me. I studied his backgound and his track record and came away completely impressed. There is no way however that the most qualified person by far in this race has a chance. A man that qualified to lead a nation has too many enemies that have their own agenda and won't let him sniff the whitehouse. That is an indictment on our system rather than the Gov. Everyone is always saying that we have the best and the brightest in this country yet we have ineffective leadership..Why? It's because the candidates have handlers that don't let them be all that they are or can be. It's also because of special interest groups that have too much influence in our society. It's also the shame of our democracy that we the people have allowed this to happen.
